Fisheries in the Future
|
It is not fair that not everyone can have a fishing quota. The Minister of Fishing decides who can get a fishing quota. Is Norway going to have fisheries, or not? It is unfair because some have quotas so large that they cannot manage to take their whole quota. Others have accidents, for instance, they get something in the propeller, and because of that, they cannot earn that much money. Its a shame that money seems to be all that counts!

The Lobsters' Future
|
I think it is stupid that there are so few lobsters left. The reason is that many people are fishing lobster when its not allowed ( 1. january till 1. october). The lobster should be totally protected for at least 5 years. In this way the species could recuver. Besides this, we ought to assure that noone breaks the law.

From Deep Water
|
A fisherman reports that he caught a shell last week when he was out fishing in a fjord not far from Rovaer.
He says that the shell is somewhat odd looking, brown, 17 cm long and 11 cm wide. He caught it on a longline in very deep water (250 metres)
He has never seen such a shell before and sent it off to the Marine Research Intistute in Bergen. Some researchers beleive it's an Angel's Wing, Others think it is what Norwegians call a Cowshell.
